Dolby Laboratories will serve as the audio visual technology sponsor of the new Television Academy Foundation Theatre at the Saban Media Center, it was announced Tuesday.

Located at the Academy’s North Hollywood campus, the theater will be endowed with Dolby’s latest audio and imaging solutions, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, making it one of the world’s most technologically-advanced theaters. The facility’s technology will also be regularly updated over the next decade, ensuring that its equipment remains state-of-the-art.

Key tech features of the 600-seat theater will include a Dolby Atmos speaker system and the latest Dolby Vision laser projection technology. Dolby will also equip the Academy’s green room, which houses talent, panelists and executives during the org’s various industry events. In addition to a Dolby Atmos speaker system, the green room will also feature Martin Logan speakers, a Marantz AV8802A Dolby Atmos processor, a Niles Audio SI-1650 and the LG 65″ OLED model featuring Dolby Vision technology.

“Dolby is bringing the Academy the most advanced audio and imaging resources available,” said TV Academy chairman and CEO Bruce Rosenblum. “Their extraordinary innovations are empowering new generations of story tellers, and are shaping and enhancing the way we experience great content.”
