Tiffany Haddish is currently in talks to star in Sony’s female-driven 21 Jump Street spin-off.
The film is expected to join the studio’s growing slate of female-led projects, including Charlie’s Angels and Greta Gerwig’s Little Women.
Haddish, 39, isn’t expected to play an undercover cop infiltrating a high school this time, but will likely pose as a teacher.
Whatever her role, it’s rumoured Sony is looking to rebuild its Jump Street franchise around the actor, after one of her latest vehicles, Night School with Kevin Hart, grossed over $100m worldwide.
