The character of Supreme Leader Snoke raised a number of questions that J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens didn’t even attempt to answer.
But in The Force Awakens, Snoke mainly just communicated through a towering hologram, and we were thinking that Star Wars: The Last Jedi would dig deeper into his backstory, and his motivations for hating the Resistance.
We know that Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) answer to the Force-sensitive character, and that he lured Ben Solo away from his parents, Leia Organa and Han Solo, after Ben’s training at the hands of Luke Skywalker failed.
