“We talk about it all the time,” Gunn said of his role in the overall Marvel Cosmic Universe.
Just before the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in April, James Gunn confirmed that he would write and direct the third chapter.
Now he has told to IGN that he will not only be at the helm of Vol. 3, but he will also work with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige to help oversee the future of the entire Cosmic Universe wing of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the post-Avengers: Infinity War phase of the MCU.
Directed and written by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is produced by Marvel Studios’ president, Kevin Feige, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jonathan Schwartz, Nik Korda and Stan Lee serving as executive producers.
