Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle director Jake Kasdan has confirmed that the “Welcome To The Jungle” addition to the title was the idea of one of the movie’s stars, namely one Jack Black.
A modernized reboot of the 1995 Robin Williams classic that also featured a young Kirsten Dunst in an early role, Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart and Jack Black as the digital avatars of four children sucked into a Jumanji video game.
As reported back in March this year, Sony Pictures revealed at CinemaCon 2017 that their Jumanji reboot would be changing its name from simply Jumanji to Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle.
Director Jake Kasdan has now shed some light on how Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle’s title actually came about and the real explanation is perhaps more informal than might be expected.
