So, in response to overwhelming fan enthusiasm for the cult film, Disney has decided to remake Hocus Pocus for the Disney Channel, something that Ortega doesn’t think is the best idea.
Hocus Pocus director Kenny Ortega says he would much rather see Disney make the long-awaited sequel instead of the remake, or at least include the original cast.
Ortega attended The L.A. Dance Project’s annual gala this past weekend, where ET asked him what his thoughts were on Disney’s Hocus Pocus remake.
For now, we know the original film’s producer, David Kirschner, is returning to shepherd the Hocus Pocus remake, which is being written by The Royals scribe Scarlett Lacey.
