It’s being reported that a Santa Rosa, CA patron was stabbed numerous times while trying to watch The Shallows in a movie theater on Wednesday afternoon, according to The Wrap.
Sadly, this is the latest in a string of incidents involving movie theater patrons being injured or killed while trying to watch a film.
The most high-profile case of a movie theater shooting probably remains the Dark Knight Rises shooting in Aurora, Colorado, where a lone gunman killed 12 and injured 70 in a horrifying attack on a movie theater.
Too often, we report on violence inside of a movie theater, a location that’s supposed to be a safe haven for film lovers.
