The Hollywood Reporter brings word that a 48 Hrs. remake is in the works at Paramount Pictures with Good Time directors Ben and Joshua Safdie set to direct.
The Safdie brothers filmography includes The Pleasure of Being Robbed, Daddy Longlegs, Lenny Cooke, Heaven Knows What, and their most recent effort, Good Time.
The original 48 Hrs. was released in 1982 and directed by legendary filmmaker Walter Hill.
Joshua Safdie will co-write the script with their frequent collaborator Ronald Bronstein and also comedian Jerrod Carmichael.
