It’s also more likely that Disney would want December’s Rogue One to define characters like Saw Gerrera, rather than risk reintroducing him in Star Wars Rebels Season 3 this fall, but there’s always a chance the animated series could take a more active role in spotlighting certain movie characters.
We’ll learn more when Season 3 premieres at Star Wars Celebration Europe this month, but might Rebels start to feature greater ties to the films?
