Mandy is directed by Panos Cosmatos, the son of Tombstone director George P. Cosmatos, who made his debut with 2012’s surreal Beyond the Black Rainbow.
However, their peaceful existence comes crashing down when a band of ravaging idolaters and supernatural creatures arrive at their front door, and Red must hunt the villains down to exact his vengeance.
The film premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, with critics praising Cosmatos’s highly-artful, gonzo approach, making Mandy the perfect canvas for Cage’s own inimitable acting style.
Although Nicolas Cage has had a career filled with memorable performances (whatever you may think of them), his latest film features what critics are calling his best work yet.
