The Hollywood Reporter says that after an outlet brawl, Apple has given a straight-to-series order to My Glory Was I Had Such Friends, a limited series starring Garner and executive-produce by Abrams.
Alias fans are already giddy about the potential reboot, and now they’re getting a bonus present this holiday season: Jennifer Garner and J.J. Abrams are teaming up for another series together.
This announcement marks another big blare of the A-list trumpet for Apple and Abrams’ second series for the service; he is already executive-producing a musical dramedy for the outlet with Sara Bareilles.
Following the success of the ABC series, Garner transitioned to film, starring in movies such as 13 Going on 30, Daredevil and Love, Simon.
