The series is set to be executive produced by Shawn Levy through 21 Laps Entertainment as part of his overall deal with Netflix, which includes the sci-fi horror hit Stranger Things, as well as Pouya Shahbazian (the Divergent franchise), Bardugo, Dan Levine, Dan Cohen and Josh Barry.
The Grishaverse series has been a bestselling franchise since its 2012 debut with Shadow, selling over 2.5 million copies in English while also having been translated into 38 languages around the world.
Deadline reports Netflix is moving forward with an eight-part series adaptation of the fantasy novel Shadow and Bone from the Grisha trilogy, as well as its universe-adjacent novel Six of Crows.
The next installment in the series, King of Scars, is set to hit shelves later this month.
