Fans have been clamoring for a musical episode of The Flash since the series premiered in 2014, and during the Television Critics Association fall previews on Thursday, executive producer Greg Berlanti announced plans to feature a two-part musical crossover between The Flash and Supergirl in the back half of the season.
The musical crossover is not to be confused with the network’s previously-announced four-show crossover that will unite each of the The CW’s DC Comics series.
The crossover will feature mostly pre-existing songs, but Berlanti is also hoping to write at least one original song per episode.
