Despite averaging just over 5 million viewers in its dangerous Friday night timeslot, Fox has decided to pass on bringing the series back.
After handing out renewals to a handful of its shows thus far, Fox has announced its drama The Passage and well-received Charlie Day-created sitcom The Cool Kids won’t be returning, according to Variety.
It’s becoming crunch time for networks to decide on whether to continue their fall lineups.
Starring Mark-Paul Goselaar (Pitch), Saniyya Sidney (American Horror Story: Roanoke) and Emmanuelle Chriqui (Super Troopers 2), the series earned mixed reviews from critics and audiences for its muddled plot and strong performances, but in its Monday night timeslot, its ratings were rather abysmal, averaging under 4 million viewers per episode.
