Davidson joined SNL when he was just 20-years-old and has since appeared in numerous TV shows including Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Jim Gaffigan Show.
The young actor lost his father in 9/11, an event that obviously had a vital impact on his life.
At age 16 he jumped into stand-up and used “stark, truthful” language on sensitive topics, including the loss of his father.
Davidson wrote the script to the film along with Apatow and Dave Sirus, which is described in the report “as a semi-autobiographical story of Davidson growing up in Staten Island, New York.”
