Shane Meadows hints at a This Is England farewell film

This Is England began life as a film before Meadows reunited the gang for a trilogy of TV series commencing with This Is England ’86 in 2011; ’88 followed in 2012 before last year’s apparent swansong.

“I’ve got one last idea for This Is England but as a film that can be split as a hybrid.

When This Is England ’90 ended last year, writer Shane Meadows promisingly described the closure as “a full stop written in pencil” – and only now has he hinted at what that could mean.
