According to Deadline, Disney+ has officially given a 12-episode order to Matt Nix’s upcoming series adaptation of the 1989 buddy cop comedy Turner & Hooch with former Nickelodeon star Josh Peck attached for the leading role of Scott Turner.
Peck first gained recognition for his iconic role as Josh Nichols in Nickelodeon’s fan-favorite Drake & Josh sitcom which ran on-air from 2004-2007.
The original Turner & Hooch film was directed by Roger Spottiswoode.
This project marks Peck’s first major TV role in 4 years since starring in Fox’s Grandfathered sitcom opposite John Stamos.
