The Tom Hardy-led Al Capone has been in development since 2016 and is expected to make its long-awaited debut sometime this year.
Capone is written and directed by Josh Trank for A Band Apart, alongside executive producer Jason Cloth of Creative Wealth Media.
A ruthless businessman and bootlegger who ruled Chicago with an iron fist, Al Capone (Tom Hardy) was the most infamous and feared gangster of American lore.
According to The Playlist, there is possibility that Capone might forgo its theatrical release and head directly to Digital as Vertical Entertainment is known for releasing films through select theaters and VOD.
