Since its debut, Jeffrey Eugenides’ novel had immediately gained critical-acclaimed for its portrayal of issues concerning immigrants and gender identity.
According to Variety, Paramount Television Studios is in the process of developing a series adaptation of author Jeffrey Eugenides’ best-selling coming-of-age novel titled Middlesex with Sam Taylor-Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey, A Million Little Pieces) attached to direct.
This project marks the second time that the novel will be developed into series as HBO previously attempted to make the series adaptation back in 2002.
The Middlesex series will be written by House of Cards’ David Manson as part of his overall deal with the studio.
