While production may be at a stand still on his highly-anticipated feature debut The Batman, Mattson Tomlin is continuing to build his impressive résumé with the upcoming sci-fi project 2084, which was just picked up by Paramount Pictures, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Following a heated bidding war, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, known for producing the Transformers and G.I. Joe franchises for Paramount Pictures, acquired the rights to produce the spec script for the studio.
Sources also report the tone of the project features similar tones to Christopher Nolan’s Inception and Keanu Reeves’ The Matrix.
