After partnering with the streaming service for 2017’s Bright, David Ayer (The Tax Collector) is partnering with Netflix once again to writer, direct and produce an adaptation of the Harlan Coben bestselling novel Six Years, according to Deadline.
Ayer is attached to pen the script adaptation as well as helm and produce the project through his Cedar Park banner.
Ayer first partnered with Netflix on the Will Smith and Joel Edgerton-starring fantasy crime-thriller Bright and was set to return to helm and co-write the sequel, but instead solely co-wrote the script, with the streamer currently in talks with Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk) to direct instead.
Ayer is currently in post-production on The Tax Collector, a crime thriller reuniting him with Shia LaBeouf after the 2014 war drama Fury, and is developing a remake of The Dirty Dozen for Warner Bros, on which he will write, direct and produce.
