Just a few months after landing WandaVision scribe Megan McDonnell to pen the script, Disney’s Captain Marvel 2 has just taken a major leap forward as it has tapped Candyman co-writer/director Nia DaCosta to helm the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel, according to Deadline.
Set more than a decade prior to the events in 2008’s Iron Man, Captain Marvel was an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel was directed by the writing/directing team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, whose credits include Mississippi Grind and Half Nelson.
