After earning rave reviews for her turn as Catherine the Great in the hit historical fiction dramedy for the streaming platform, Elle Fanning is reuniting with Hulu to star in the forthcoming limited series The Girl From Plainville, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The series also marks the latest limited series effort from Hulu following the Emmy-nominated Little Fires Everywhere, Catch-22 and The Act, with other upcoming projects including the ensemble Nine Perfect Strangers led by Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies).
Fanning first partnered with the streaming platform for The Great, created by Golden Globe and Oscar nominee Tony McNamara (The Favourite), and after receiving rave reviews from critics and strong viewership it was picked up for a 10-episode second season.
Golden Globe nominee Liz Hannah (The Post) and Patrick Macmanus (Dr. Death) are set to serve as co-showrunners for the series and will executive produce alongside Fanning and Echo Lake’s Brittany Kahan, with Universal Studio Group’s Universal Content Productions acting as home base for the project.
