The latest installment follows Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home and will be directed by Jon Watts.
Molina, who has reportedly been seen on the new film’s set set, originally played Doc Ock in Sam Raimi’s 2004 sequel, Spider-Man 2, where his character is a brilliant scientist who becomes an eight-legged supervillain.
Andrew Garfield also portrayed Spider-Man in 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man and its aforementioned 2014 sequel, both of which were directed by Marc Webb.
The forthcoming Spider-Man 3 stars Tom Holland as the titular lead and is dated for a December 2021 release.
