After getting his breakout role in working with the Emmy winner, Josh Holloway is reuniting with Lost co-creator/executive producer J.J. Abrams for one of his many projects currently in development at WarnerMedia streamer HBO Max, Duster, according to Variety.
It also marks one of a number of projects the Star Wars sequel trilogy helmer has in the works at HBO Max, which includes the sci-fi fantasy drama Demimonde on which he is the creator, The Shining prequel series Overlook and a Justice League Dark series.
Co-written by Abrams and LaToya Morgan (Into the Badlands, The Walking Dead), the crime drama series is set in the 1970s Southwest and centers on a getaway driver for a crime syndicate on the rise in the area, with Holloway signing on to star as the driver.
The series will mark the first time Holloway and Abrams have worked together in some capacity in a decade, which began with his breakout work as James “Sawyer” Ford on ABC’s hit mystery drama Lost, which Abrams co-created, executive produced and helmed multiple episodes, and last continued with Holloway’s small role in Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol.
