The action-comedy film has been in-development since 2015, which was six years after Gearbox Software launched the first game of the series back in 2009.
Love and Monsters star Ariana Greenblatt took to Twitter to share a behind-the-scenes set photo, confirming that production on Eli Roth’s live-action film adaptation of the hit video game series Borderlands has officially begun in Hungary.
Borderlands is one of the world’s most successful video game franchises, with more than 57 million units sold-in worldwide, including over 22 million units of Borderlands 2, which is the highest-selling title in the history of 2K.
Soon after Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Black and Haley Bennett along with Greenblatt and Florian Munteanu have also joined the film.
