Now it would appear that another series order based on the cult-hit comedy property is in the offing in the form of a spin-off sequel comprising another eight individual episodes on Netflix in the form of Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later.
Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later will premiere on Netflix sometime in 2017.
Featuring several members of the cast and crew of the hit MTV sketch comedy series The State, the original film struggled at the box office initially, but has since spawned it own rabid fan base who devoured all eight episodes of the spin-off prequel series, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, that aired on Netflix in 2015.
Wain and Showalter certainly managed to reinvigorate what was an already played out premise twice already, and with any luck they’ll manage to do the same three times over with the release of Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later.
