Warner Bros. Pictures has delayed the release date for Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming Elvis biopic drama, starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks.
Its new theatrical release date will see the biopic go up against Sony Pictures’ Reese Witherspoon-produced drama film Where the Crawdads Sing starring Daisy Edgar-Jones.
Originally scheduled for a June 3, 2022 release, the all-star musical drama has been pushed back for three weeks and is now slated to arrive in theaters on June 24, 2022.
Unlike the studio’s 2021 film slate, Elvis won’t have a simultaneous theatrical and HBO Max debut as they return to a more traditional distribution plan.
