MTV has canceled the low-rated—and underrated—comedy Faking It after three seasons, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The news of Faking It’s cancellation comes as MTV is reinventing itself again, this time by attempting to shift its focus back to music.

Showrunner Carter Covington laid the blame squarely on the show’s abysmal ratings—the most recent episode notched just 530,000 total viewers in Live+3 ratings.
