Most every film that’s gunning for awards typically features a number of quotes from critics praising them on their posters and/or in their trailers, in order to try and sell just how prestigious a picture the film actually is.
Sometimes, though, the posters themselves don’t quite capture the appeal of the movie – or even really, what the overall reactions to them have been, either.
Just this morning alone, the nominations for this year’s Oscars were announced, honoring some of the most acclaimed and buzzed-about films of the year – including, La La Land, Manchester by the Sea, Moonlight, Hacksaw Ridge, and more.
Every year, film fans everywhere are flooded with a pack of awards season-contending movies in the final months of the year; most of which will end up being talked and debated about in the months following their release, leading up to and following the major awards ceremonies for each respective year.
