As a result of The LEGO Movie’s success, Warner Bros announced a whole shared universe of future installments that includes a LEGO Movie sequel, the soon-to-be-released LEGO Batman Movie, The LEGO Ninjago Movie, and Billion Brick Race.
Although Warner Bros is currently focused on promoting The LEGO Batman Movie, with the film’s release only a week away, the studio has also begun to tease its second LEGO-based release of 2017, Ninjago.
A trailer for LEGO Ninjago is expected to arrive soon, and a new image that reveals the film’s villain while further teasing more to come.
When all was said and done, The LEGO Movie earned $469 million worldwide on a budget of $60 million, proving the toy-based animated adventure could win over critics and do well at the box office.
