As most horror fans likely remember, the phrase “get out” is an iconic facet of the Amityville lore, as it is the command shouted by the house as the demonic spirits demand that Father Delaney stop helping the Lutz family.
This reference might be the most on the nose of the bunch, but that doesn’t make it any less awesome.
Although the line “get out” is uttered in Jordan Peele’s film of the same name — specifically during a genuinely tense scene involving Lakeith Stanfield’s character — the title of the movie is also a direct reference to The Amityville Horror.
