Either way, Collider’s interview with Gunn seems to think that this scene may not be included on the Blu-ray or seen by public eyes anytime soon, so for now we’ll just go back to pouring over the recently released set list for “Awesome Mix Vol. 2,” and try to avoid guessing what easter eggs we’ll be missing out on.
So it could be that James Gunn and company are just trying to spare us a total emotional meltdown during what’s still partially a rock’em – sock’em action adventure-comedy.
One could presume that with Kurt Russell’s Ego the Living Planet catching up with his son (Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 already has its fair share of family tension, laughter, and more in store for its eager audiences.
