Case in point: Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn (aka Hodor) accidentally referred to Cersei and Jaime’s father as the Mad King, adding fuel to a long running theory that the Lannister children may actually be part Targaryen, and not Tywin’s flesh and blood.
Part of what makes Game of Thrones such a massive cultural event every Sunday is because of how passionate the fans are.
And all it takes is one misplaced word to re-ignite certain theories, no matter how far fetched they are.
Aside from the novels and long running TV series, there is also no shortage of popular fan theories about how the tale of Westeros will eventually end.
