The Harry Potter book was sold well over its guide range of 25,000 Euros to 30,000 Euros, assisted by some enthusiastic bids on phones.
Philosopher’s Stone was just auctioned off at Hanson’s Auctioneers in the United Kingdom for 46,000 Euros.
Until they heard another Harry Potter first edition had recently sold for 28,500 Euros ($31,369).
The rare copy has been in the hands of the Lancashires for years and they had plans to keep the title in the family as an heirloom.
