It’s possible A Quiet Place 2 will follow the Abbott family traveling elsewhere in the United States to kill more of these monstrosities, or perhaps this horror series will take more of an anthology route and follow a new group of characters, with the story having little to no direct ties with the first movie.
John Krasinski’s character, Lee Abbott, sacrificed himself towards the end of A Quiet Place so that his family, including his newborn child, could escape the sound-sensitive creatures.
So if Krasinski does contribute to A Quiet Place 2, it will be solely as director again.
As for where A Quiet Place 2 could go from there, Lee’s daughter, Regan, discovered at the end of the first movie that the cochlear implant that her father repaired could emit feedback that, when activated in front of a microphone, could significantly weaken the creatures, making vulnerable and easier to kill.
