Now, the 14th edition of the New York City Horror Film Festival aims to celebrate the career of Adrienne Barbeau this November by giving her the festival’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
The 2016 New York City Horror Film Festival opens Thursday, November 10, with Darren Lynn Bousman’s Abattoir.
But actress Adrienne Barbeau became a true icon after starring in a series of horror and genre films, some of which were directed by her ex-husband John Carpenter (Escape From New York, The Fog).
She will be at the festival in person to accept her award on Saturday, November 12, after that evening’s program, at approximately 9:30 pm.
