With his start in Adam’s Rib, Kaplan worked and earned roles in films like The Nutty Professor (1963), Freaky Friday (1976), and It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World.
The film is set to be released on September 10th and stars Steve Guttenberg, Debra Sullivan, Fay Dewitt, and Kaplan himself.
Kaplan continued in film and television up until his death, which came in his sleep yesterday morning at the age of 89.
Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1927, actor Marvin Kaplan was first discovered by Katharine Hepburn in 1949.
