Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal took to Instagram to confirm that production on Amazon Studios’ upcoming Road House reboot of the 1989 Patrick Swayze-led action film has officially begun in the Dominican Republic.
The Road House remake will be directed by The Bourne Identity filmmaker Doug Liman from a screenplay written by Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry.
The Road House remake will be executive produced by JJ Hook, Alison Winter, and Aaron Auch, with Joel Silver producing for Silver Pictures.
In his post, Gyllenhaal is seen together with director Doug Liman, who is one of the filmmakers he has been wanting to work with for years.
