Amber Heard’s role in the upcoming Aquaman sequel was in jeopardy at one point, according to the president of DC Films in his recent appearance in court.
“A big part of our philosophy was we were going to hold people to their options,” explained Hamada.
Heard was paid $1 million for her role in the first Aquaman and $2 million for her role in the sequel, which lined up with her contract at the time.
However, Hamada also testified that under his leadership at DC Films, he was extremely set on not allowing actors to renegotiate for follow-up films and sequels.
