Village Gazette will follow the story of Amber (Ruffin), the editor of the Benson Village Gazette.
According to Deadline, NBC has given a pilot presentation order to Amber Ruffin and Seth Myers’ new comedy series Village Gazette.
In 2014, Ruffin became a writer for Late Night With Seth Meyers, making her the first black woman to write for a US late-night talk show.
Written by Ruffin and Shelly Gossman, the single-camera comedy will also star Ruffin with Universal TV set as the studio.
