Based on the studio’s classic monster, The Bride of Frankenstein reboot has been in development since 2015 with David Koepp signing on as the screenwriter.
Coming off from the critical and commercial success of Greta Gerwig’s Little Women, Variety brings word that Academy Award-nominated producer Amy Pascal has been exploring ways to bring a new life to Universal Pictures‘ long-in development reboot film of The Bride of Frankenstein.
If Amy Pascal’s The Bride of Frankenstein pushes through, it would be the newest addition to the list of Universal’s upcoming monster projects which includes: Dexter Fletcher’s film about Dracula henchman Renfield, Paul Feig’s Dark Army, Elizabeth Banks’ Invisible Woman and Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man which is set to premiere this February 28.
Last summer, Pascal decided to move her overall production deal to Universal from Sony Pictures.
