According to Deadline, Sony and Ghost House Pictures may have nabbed British thesp Andrea Riseborough (Battle of the Sexes, Birdman, Waco) to take the lead in their The Grudge remake, to be directed by Nicolas Pesce (The Eyes of My Mother, Piercing).
The Grudge reboot is based on a script from Jeff Buhler (Midnight Meat Train) and will be produced by Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Taka Ichise.
Riseborough will next be seen opposite Zoe Kazan in Lone Scherfig’s Secrets from the Russian Tea Room, currently in pre-production.
