Created by Allan Burns and Chris Hayward, the original The Munsters ran for seventy episodes across two seasons from 1964 to 1966.
Deadline reports that Odd Mom Out creator Jill Kargman and comedian/television host Seth Meyers have teamed with Universal TV for a reboot of The Munsters.
The new series will move the setting of the series to “hipster Brooklyn” instead of suburban California as seen in the original show.
Additional TV movies and specials include the animated The Mini-Munsters in 1973, Here Come the Munsters in 1995, and The Munsters’ Scary Little Christmas in 1996.
