Aquaman: Michael K. Williams Wants to Play Black Manta

  • In the comics, Black Manta first appeared in 1967 in Aquaman #35 as a treasure hunter who was hired to collect a sample of Aquaman’s blood.

  • Aquaman, the upcoming DC Extended Universe film directed by horror master James Wan has supposedly already revealed the merman’s (Jason Mamoa) big bad as Black Manta.

  • As he sailed off on his oceanic mission to collect the blood sample, Manta encountered a young Aquaman alongside his father.
