If Morrison does decide that the Aquaman role is one he’d like to work in, the October 5, 2018 release date may mean that it’s unlikely he’ll be appearing in the second Star Wars anthology film, planned for 2020 and rumored to revolve around the origins of Boba Fett.
Of course, filming schedules are flexible, so we wouldn’t rule out an appearance from the original Fett just yet, assuming that a Boba Fett movie does, in fact, happen one day.
Superhero flicks in the past have garnered contempt and controversy over ‘whitewashing’, but it looks as if those behind Aquaman aren’t going to let that become a problem here.
This decision could be a brilliant one. Though he’s perhaps best-known for his work as bounty hunter Jango Fett in the Star Wars prequel series, Morrison is an actor who hasn’t let that one role define his entire career.
