Zukerman will take on the titular role of a young Robert Langdon, who was famously portrayed by Oscar winner Tom Hanks in the Robert Langdon film trilogy.
If Langdon is picked up to series, someone other than Hanks would be taking over the Langdon role for television.
Deadline brings word that Succession actor Ashley Zukerman has officially been cast for the leading role in NBC’s upcoming drama pilot titled Langdon, based on author Dan Brown’s best-selling thriller novel The Lost Symbol.
Based on Dan Brown’s book The Lost Symbol, the pilot, titled Langdon, follows the early adventures of famed Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon, who must solve a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy.
