DC’s The New Gods movie has tapped comic book writer Tom King to co-write the screenplay alongside director Ava DuVernay.
King won an Eisner Award in 2018 for his work on Batman and Mister Miracle, which actually features many characters from The New Gods.
Created in 1971, The New Gods, very basically, focuses on a pair of alien planets, New Genesis and Apokolips.
The New Gods were created by comic book legend Jack Kirby in the 1970s.
