Avengers: Endgame has officially trounced Avatar to become the most successful film of all time.
Just last weekend, the Marvel sequel grossed a further $2.8m at the global box office, bringing the film’s worldwide total to a gargantuan $2.78 billion.
In May, James Cameron congratulated the Endgame team for outgrossing his 1997 epic Titanic, which was previously the second most successful film of all time.
As of writing, the film’s worldwide haul sits at $2,789.2 billion, which surpasses the $2.788 billion grossed by Avatar in December 2009.
