Although the film has a release date of June 29, 2018, Sony Pictures is in need of a new Barbie actress.
Trainwreck star Amy Schumer, who became attached to the Mattel comedy last, has exited the film due to a scheduling conflict.
“Sadly, I’m no longer able to commit to ‘Barbie’ due to scheduling conflicts,” Schumer says in a statement to the trade.
The Barbie screenplay arrives from Hilary Winston (The LEGO Ninjago Movie, the Bad Teacher TV series).
